About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead, coach, and develop the US People team
  • Set priorities and ensure best-in-class service to employees and managers
  • Advise US leaders on employee relations, performance management, organizational design, and team health
  • Own US HR operations, including onboarding, offboarding, HRIS data integrity, policies, handbook, and employment-law compliance
  • Partner with global People leadership to align US programs with company-wide strategy and US requirements
  • Support compensation, benefits, performance reviews, merit cycles, and benefits renewal with global teams and vendors
  • Manage the NYC office, including vendors, facilities, budget, health and safety, and daily operations
  • Create an engaging in-office environment through space planning, events, and culture-building rituals
  • Design and deliver an equitable experience for remote employees
  • Drive engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and internal communications
  • Analyze engagement surveys, feedback, and people data to identify trends and recommend actions
  • Partner on learning and development and manager-enablement programs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 8+ years of HR experience
  • At least 3 years managing an HR or People team
  • Experience as an HR generalist or HRBP in a fast-paced tech, SaaS, or high-growth environment
  • Experience in a global or multinational company is a strong plus
  • Deep working knowledge of US employment law and HR compliance, particularly New York
  • Demonstrated experience managing office operations or workplace experience
  • Experience supporting distributed or hybrid teams
  • Strong judgment and discretion
  • Ability to handle sensitive employee matters with empathy and fairness
  • Excellent communication skills and executive presence in the office
  • Comfortable influencing senior leaders and partnering across time zones
  • Builder's mindset with process improvement capability
  • Strong interest in AI; experience using AI to improve People processes is beneficial
  • Proficiency with PEO and HRIS systems and people tools, including BambooHR and Justworks
