About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own Bowtie Malaysia's full SEO/GEO/AEO strategy
- Own technical SEO architecture, including structured data and site design for traditional crawlers and AI agents
- Build Bowtie's presence and citation rate across ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews
- Build and scale a content library from scratch to 2,000+ indexed articles
- Establish keyword and intent mapping for the Malaysian medical insurance market
- Drive domain authority and organic traffic growth from a zero starting point
- Track and report performance across traditional and generative search
- Lead and grow a local content team
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years in organic search/SEO
- 2+ years in a team lead or managerial capacity
- Fintech, health, or insurance experience is a strong plus
- Deep technical SEO expertise
- Experience with structured data, including MedicalWebPage and InsuranceProduct schemas
- Knowledge of vector search principles
- Knowledge of GEO/AEO optimization mechanics
- High proficiency with GA4, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, Semrush, Screaming Frog, and custom LLM evaluation frameworks
- Understanding of search behaviour and language dynamics in English and Bahasa Malaysia
- English and Bahasa Malaysia required
