About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Set and deliver the multi-year US convenience supply chain strategy aligned with the US trading plan, customer proposition and growth priorities
  • Create governance, performance standards and decision rights across planning, forecasting, replenishment, inventory and logistics
  • Deliver improvements in product availability, safety, service, waste, working capital and cost-to-serve
  • Lead end-to-end supply chain resilience and risk management
  • Own senior commercial relationships with third-party logistics providers and strategic suppliers, including contract strategy, negotiations, performance and value delivery
  • Shape investment priorities and technology-enabled improvements in forecasting, replenishment, data visibility and store execution
  • Provide insight into customer, inventory, capacity, service and cost trade-offs
  • Lead the US M&C Americas Supply Chain team
  • Partner with Trading, Retail Operations, Mobility & Convenience leadership, Technology, Procurement, Finance, Safety and other enabling functions
  • Build senior relationships with third-party logistics providers and strategic suppliers
  • Create an inclusive, high-accountability culture focused on operational discipline, continuous improvement and innovation

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Substantial senior supply chain leadership experience in retail or another complex, high-volume consumer environment
  • Demonstrated accountability for an end-to-end supply chain covering forecasting, replenishment, inventory management, logistics and operational performance
  • Strong record of developing supply chain strategy and converting it into measurable commercial and operational outcomes
  • Experience leading material third-party logistics contracts, strategic suppliers, commercial negotiations and performance governance
  • Strong commercial and financial judgement, including the ability to manage significant expenditure and make informed trade-offs across service, cost, cash and waste
  • Experience leading transformation or technology-enabled change across supply chain processes, systems or operating models
  • Proven people leadership, including building capability, developing successors and leading through change and ambiguity
  • Up to 50% travel should be expected with this role
  • Employment may be contingent upon pre-placement drug screening, medical review of physical fitness, and background checks, depending upon the role
  • Must be able to work in the United States; relocation is available within country
