About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver best-in-class compliance with the UK Renewable Transport Fuel Obligation at lowest cost to maximise business margin
- Support negotiation of biofuel pricing optionality and margin opportunities in third-party hydrocarbon supply contracts
- Provide subject matter expertise to ensure commercial opportunities comply with bp's compliance strategy
- Evaluate and optimise inland third-party supply contracts using bio-compliance, regulatory and value insights
- Work with trading and commercial teams to maximise margin and manage compliance and pricing risks
- Lead bp's UK bio compliance strategy and compliance recipe recommendations
- Manage planning, reporting, advocacy, audits and government consultations
- Act as bp's primary interface with relevant regulatory authorities on biofuels compliance matters
- Maintain bpOUK's ISCC certification and Zemo RFAS membership by leading the annual audit process
- Analyse UK inland biofuels business performance
- Deliver monthly financial forecasting versus Plan and assess opportunities and vulnerabilities
- Work with Finance to understand performance drivers and unexpected deviations
- Support digitalisation and provide subject matter expertise to simplify processes
- Report to the Regional Biofuels Manager, UK
- Collaborate across supply, trading, commercial, finance and regulatory teams
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience managing competing priorities in a fast-paced commercial, operational or financial environment
- Knowledge of supply and trading
- Experience managing external relationships and supporting negotiation
- Ability to build and maintain productive working partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong numeracy and analytical skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to articulate complex scenarios clearly and concisely
- Ability to build consensus and engagement across teams

- Demonstrable commercial drive and energy
- Skills or knowledge in supply chain management, trade discipline and compliance, trading and scheduling operations, trading fundamentals, and trading knowledge
