About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide experienced tax advice and support across all businesses, taxes, and countries within the UK, Europe, and South Africa region
- Act as a primary relationship holder with fiscal authorities and business leaders
- Drive effective tax risk management across the region
- Handle non-routine or contentious tax audits and disputes
- Work with centralised Planning and Transfer Pricing teams on M&A/BD projects and transfer pricing matters
- Support Policy, Operations, and Reporting teams with local tax knowledge and oversight
- Enable business teams to make informed decisions that drive profitability and efficiency
- Collaborate with fiscal authorities, business leaders, external tax advisors, Finance/FP&A/FBT interfaces, and other tax teams
Requirements
What you’ll need- Educated to degree level with a relevant professional qualification (e.g., Master of Economics/Taxation, Master of Law or similar)
- ACA and/or CTA qualified, or equivalent qualification
- Strong technical expertise in UK corporation tax/direct tax
- Confirmed experience in tax planning and advisory in a global or multinational environment
- Ability to understand business operations and their tax impact
- Strong analytical, communication, and partner management skills
- Adaptability and resilience, with a willingness to adopt and motivate change where appropriate
- Experience with technology-enabled tax transformation and data-driven decision-making
- Up to 10% travel
- This role is not eligible for relocation
