About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Identify, create, and implement opportunities within key criminal justice and federal-system accounts
  • Engage customers, identify educational opportunities, and ensure access for appropriate patients across prisons, correctional departments, jails, Veterans Affairs, and DOD
  • Execute business development strategies and marketing plans to meet or exceed objectives
  • Provide account management, strategic planning, and analysis for assigned key accounts
  • Review and interpret market reports against quarterly and annual objectives
  • Develop collaborative relationships with stakeholders, decision makers, and account influencers
  • Achieve access, contractual, and outcome goals in account business plans
  • Build knowledge of assigned geography, customers, care delivery, payers, public policy, and funding initiatives
  • Identify opportunities and barriers in emerging customer segments
  • Provide information and education to medical, correctional, behavioral-health, administrative, and drug-treatment stakeholders
  • Develop systems of care supporting criminal-justice initiatives using injectable medication for opioid use disorder (MOUD)
  • Deliver fair, balanced, and compliant clinical presentations
  • Assist with field-training development and delivery
  • Lead compliant cross-functional collaboration to execute customer business plans and ensure continuity of care
  • Reinforce company compliance policies and Code of Conduct
  • Represent Braeburn at local and selected national conferences
  • Manage business-development expenses and budgets

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) required; Advanced Business Degree a plus
  • 10+ years of pharmaceutical experience with at least 5+ years of sales, sales leadership and/or field market access/reimbursement experience in biotech, specialty pharmaceutical, or device industries
  • 2+ years of pharmaceutical or related experience required in the Corrections / Criminal Justice System, Integrated Health Systems and Hospitals
  • Proven sales or field market access performance in specialty pharmacy markets
  • Experience with complex customer protocol navigation and contracting for integrated health systems, corrections, and other large accounts
  • Experience within a complex distribution model, including Specialty Pharmacy Network Management and Buy & Bill acquisition
  • In-depth understanding of reimbursement and insurance coverage for physician-administered treatments
  • Proven product launch experience, leading others in a complicated and competitive environment
  • Experience selling specialty products, particularly physician-administered implantable or injectable medication technologies in healthcare
  • Ability to work autonomously to find new business opportunities
  • Willingness to travel regionally and nationally as needed (up to 70–80%)
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing
  • Strategic account planning, negotiation, and contracting skills
  • Understanding of federal, state, and privately run correctional systems, managed care organizations, pharmacy providers, and continuum of care
  • Strong written, oral, presentation, planning, and operational skills
  • Strong ethical behavior and commitment to compliant work
  • Entrepreneurial attitude and/or startup experience
