About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Document and maintain financial processes for efficient and accurate reporting
  • Analyze month-over-month changes in financial outcomes and provide clear reporting for leadership
  • Collaborate with actuarial and reinsurance teams
  • Work with the Data Office to identify and define controls and data availability requirements
  • Develop audit-ready documentation for key financial processes and controls
  • Direct preparation and delivery of statutory financial statements, including quarterly and annual NAIC filings
  • Perform RBC analysis and use NAIC RBC forecasting tools
  • Develop an internal control testing framework
  • Review and document cash handling processes and reconciliation procedures
  • Collaborate with Insurance and Compliance teams on data and regulatory requests related to state expansion or reporting
  • Contribute to projects improving financial transparency, data readiness, and compliance
  • Own the statutory process end to end as a senior individual contributor with no direct reports

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; CPA a plus
  • 8+ years of experience in property & casualty insurance finance or accounting
  • Preferably exposure to GAAP and statutory reporting
  • Strong working knowledge of financial reporting, controls, and insurance accounting
  • Proficiency in interpreting financial outcomes and turning data into actionable reporting
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
  • Branch cannot sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa
