About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own onboarding and offboarding, including paperwork, system access, orientation, manager handoffs, and departures.
  • Prepare and review payroll inputs with Finance and the PEO.
  • Run open enrollment and day-to-day benefits and 401(k) administration.
  • Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions and resolve or escalate issues.
  • Coordinate performance review cycles, timelines, communications, and manager follow-through.
  • Run day-to-day operations in the Boulder office and coordinate workplace needs in New York City.
  • Manage vendors, supplies, office improvements, team events, employee gatherings, logistics, communications, and budgets.
  • Maintain Rippling as the source of truth for employee data and keep accurate personnel records.
  • Keep People-related SOC 2 evidence organized.
  • Coordinate required employee training, workplace notices, postings, and recordkeeping.
  • Track deadlines, flag gaps, and work with leadership, the PEO, and counsel on applicable requirements.
  • Lead internal operations projects from problem definition through implementation.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Applicants must have legal authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for current or future sponsorship.
  • 3+ years in People, workplace, business, or another hands-on operations role where you owned important day-to-day work.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Track record of improving a process or experience.
  • Care for the employee experience, clear communication, and sound judgment with confidential information.
  • Comfort learning new systems and unfamiliar subject matter.
  • Willingness to handle workplace operations, including vendors, budgets, office needs, and events.
  • Experience with an HR system such as Rippling, a PEO, benefits administration, or supporting employees across multiple states is a plus.
  • Ability to work onsite in Boulder, CO and in person in a hybrid role.
