About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and support air quality permitting and compliance projects
- Develop and maintain internal and external client relationships through project work and in-person engagement
- Lead project teams, manage execution, client communication, and project deliverables
- Prepare and review project proposals
- Manage project scope, schedule, and budget
- Mentor and support junior staff
- Perform, direct, and review technical work for air permitting and compliance projects
- Prepare Permit by Rule, case-by-case NSR, and Title V permit applications
- Interpret and apply state and federal air quality regulations
- Perform emissions calculations and equipment evaluations
- Conduct air quality impact assessments using SCREEN3 and/or AERSCREEN
- Develop client air quality compliance programs
- Prepare technical reports and other project documents
- Comply with applicable client health and safety policies and procedures
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, environmental science, or a related field
- Minimum of 7 years of Texas-specific air quality permitting and compliance experience
- 10–12 years of total air permitting experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of state and federal air quality rules and regulations for industrial, energy, and commercial clients
- Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
- Ability to travel up to 15% of the time
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, client service, technical writing, public speaking, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint
- Ability to develop, manage, and communicate project budgets
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Preferred but not required: Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Preferred but not required: Experience preparing PSD permit applications
- Preferred but not required: Experience with AERMOD and EPA Appendix W
- Preferred but not required: Experience auditing client air quality programs

Comp & perks- Compensation range of $96,000.00–$144,000.00
