About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage a designated territory and customer base
  • Establish and manage sales objectives, goals, and forecasts
  • Conduct regular field visits throughout Reno, Nevada, Sacramento, California, and the assigned region
  • Engage with customers, understand their needs, and drive sales
  • Collaborate with customer technical teams to specify and apply industrial equipment
  • Provide product education, technical support, and application assistance
  • Maintain and enhance existing customer relationships and identify new business opportunities
  • Resolve customer disputes with office staff and factory personnel
  • Report sales activity, market trends, customer feedback, and progress toward sales goals
  • Travel frequently within the assigned territory

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2–5 years of successful experience in an engineering or technical role within an industrial setting, preferably in valves, flow control products, or related industries
  • Equivalent sales experience is acceptable
  • BS degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field is preferred
  • High school diploma combined with relevant experience will also be considered
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong customer service and long-term customer relationship management skills
  • Ability to work independently, set personal goals, and take initiative
  • Ability to understand and explain industrial equipment applications in customer processes
  • Proactive problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the designated territory
  • Valid driver’s license required and personal vehicle available for sales and service calls
  • Credit check, Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), and Non-DOT Physical required as part of background screening
  • Must adhere to Bray’s Drivers Policy, maintain adequate auto liability insurance, and follow company safety practices
  • Reliable transportation and ability to manage travel arrangements
  • Successful background screening and compliance with federal requirements, including controlled-substance drug testing
  • Sponsorship is not available; applicants requiring current or future visa sponsorship are ineligible
