AVP, Corporate Partnerships

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and manage teams responsible for corporate partnerships, diabetes industry partnerships, and the Ford Global Action Team
- Provide coaching, performance management, and professional development to achieve revenue goals
- Oversee a partnership portfolio generating $15–20 million or more annually
- Establish accountability standards, account management best practices, and revenue growth strategies
- Serve on the Corporate Development leadership team and contribute to department strategy, planning, and culture
- Develop and implement an enterprise-wide account management framework
- Manage strategic accounts and relationships with senior corporate executives
- Serve as an escalation point for high-value or complex partnership negotiations
- Oversee strategic account plans for national corporate partnerships, including relationship mapping, cross-sell and upsell strategies, multi-year agreements, and mission alignment
- Guide the Ford Global Action Team and ensure strategic investment, executive engagement, and cross-functional coordination
- Ensure partnership contracts and letters of agreement are negotiated and executed in alignment with organizational priorities
- Collaborate on pipeline transition criteria and onboard new partners into account management structures
- Coordinate with research, advocacy, marketing and communications, and legal teams to deliver partnership assets and benefits
- Work with field teams, chapter staff, and volunteers to deepen corporate partner engagement
- Monitor portfolio health metrics, including renewal rates, upgrade rates, revenue per partner, and pipeline coverage
- Develop dashboards and reporting with analytics for data-driven decisions and executive reporting
- Oversee budgeting and forecasting for the corporate partnerships portfolio
- Monitor program revenue and control expenses
- Track corporate social responsibility, ESG trends, cause marketing practices, and the corporate philanthropic landscape to inform strategies and identify growth opportunities
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10 or more years of experience in corporate partnership management, nonprofit sales, or account management in a matrixed organization
- Demonstrated success managing multi-million-dollar portfolios
- 5 or more years in a leadership or management capacity
- Proven track record of developing and motivating high-performing teams to achieve revenue goals
- Expertise in consultative account management, contract negotiation, renewals, and partnership upgrades
- Experience managing diverse partnership portfolios, including large national accounts, industry-specific relationships, and high-touch embedded partnerships
- Ability to develop and execute strategic account plans aligned with organizational priorities and partner business objectives
- Strong understanding of corporate social responsibility, cause marketing, and the nonprofit corporate philanthropic landscape
- Experience in healthcare or disease space preferred
- Ability to lead cross-functional internal teams and resolve complex partnership challenges
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with Fortune 1000 executives, internal leadership, and volunteer stakeholders
- Experience developing and managing operational budgets and forecasts
- Proficiency in monitoring program revenue and expense controls
- Proficient in Salesforce and MS Suite
- Experience developing dashboards and analytical tools preferred
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, management, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Master's degree preferred
- Ability to travel approximately 40 percent of the time, including overnight trips
- Ability to work some evenings and weekends
