About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the primary interface between IT and one or more BBG business functions
  • Establish and maintain trusted relationships with business-function leadership, executives, and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Surface business demand, understand strategic priorities, and identify technology-enabled value opportunities
  • Translate business goals, challenges, and opportunities into actionable technology initiatives aligned with BBG’s enterprise roadmap
  • Communicate BBG’s IT strategy, application portfolio, service catalog, and technical capabilities
  • Coordinate IT demand across the business with other BRMs to develop an integrated project portfolio
  • Lead end-to-end business case creation for technology initiatives
  • Validate funded initiatives against approved business cases and recommend scope, sequencing, continuation, restructuring, pausing, or discontinuation changes
  • Own initiative-level budgets and track actual spend versus plan monthly
  • Collaborate with Finance and IT leadership on product-line funding models
  • Manage the centralized intake pipeline for strategic and enhancement requests
  • Maintain a prioritized portfolio backlog across assigned product lines
  • Monitor initiative health across scope, schedule, budget, and risk
  • Participate in cross-portfolio program increment planning and manage dependencies and resource contention
  • Prepare and present portfolio updates, decision briefs, and escalation summaries for governance forums
  • Maintain decision logs, escalation trackers, and risk registers
  • Define outcome-based KPIs, establish baselines, and track post-implementation benefits
  • Partner with business owners to ensure execution of organizational changes needed for value realization
  • Coordinate with peer BRMs and product-line owners to identify synergies and avoid duplicate investment
  • Maintain cross-project dependency views and surface sequencing conflicts
  • Contribute to BRM team standards, templates, and best practices
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Business or related field
  • 5+ years of increasing responsibility in information technology
  • Demonstrated experience in portfolio management, business case development, and/or IT financial planning
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to translate complex technical subjects into clear business terms and present to executive audiences
  • Ability to manage complex business issues, identify root causes, and actively resolve problems leveraging cross-functional partnerships
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Experience with project/portfolio management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, or similar)
  • Comfortable driving change and embracing innovation in complex, ambiguous environments
  • Result-oriented with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Must be able to stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone
  • Preferred: BRMP, CBRM, or PMP certification
  • Preferred: Experience with SAP S/4HANA, Salesforce/CRM, or Modern Data & AI platforms
  • Preferred: Wholesale distribution or complex supply chain industry background
  • Preferred: Familiarity with investment prioritization frameworks and capacity-based planning
