About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Call on accounts and cover daily routes using an established and efficient routing pattern
- Analyze account bases, identify opportunities, complete surveys, and ensure national account compliance where applicable
- Prepare and deliver professional sales presentations covering new products, placements, resets, drink and wine lists, and promotions
- Maintain product levels by taking inventory and restocking shelves where legally permissible
- Educate account staff through priority-brand training seminars
- Manage customer account receivables, credits, returns, and aged receivables communication
- Service accounts by delivering products in extenuating circumstances and handling customer issues and complaints
- Achieve sales and merchandising objectives, including distribution, volume, activity, and brand-visibility goals
- Strategize and preplan using company pricing, product programming, and historical account purchase information
- Monitor inventory and out-of-stock situations and alert management to demand fluctuations
- Obtain account payments where legally permissible
- Support new account openings by developing opening orders with the Field Sales Manager
- Participate in supplier work-with sales calls and sales blitzes
- Conduct safe and responsible public interactions while handling beverage alcohol products
- Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or equivalent training and work experience
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Sales
- Basic PC skills using MS Office and other various computer programs including presentation software
- Must be a results-oriented professional with verbal/written communication skills using diplomacy and discretion as well as customer service skills
- Ability to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team, pay attention to detail and meet deadlines
- Analytic and Reporting skills
- Utilize sound judgement and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume, team environment
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License
- Must have reliable transportation and proof of auto insurance
- Carrying and lifting 45-65 pounds
