About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Coordinate daily workload and bookings, aligning with Router
  • Communicate with Sales Manager and District Managers regarding bookings, staffing shortfalls, special projects, and additional needs
  • Meet with key customers for review purposes
  • Prepare and present Merchandiser standards and value to key customers
  • Develop and maintain consistent merchandising standards
  • Conduct field sets for merchandising team training
  • Manage and maintain information for Merchandiser Comp Pool, Merchandiser GSM, incentives, and related programs
  • Deliver and set up POS materials for thematic displays and key account planner activity
  • Lead merchandiser activities and operations
  • Train new Merchandisers and support ongoing development of existing Merchandisers
  • Conduct weekly work-withs (ride-alongs) with merchandising staff
  • Actively recruit for the merchandising workforce
  • Verify weekly time cards; review, confirm, and approve team time off
  • Conduct Merchandising team meetings and attend Division Sales meetings
  • Conduct employee evaluations and reviews
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or equivalent training and work experience
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in merchandising and Off-Premise sales support role
  • Proficient PC skills using MS Office and other various computer programs including presentation software
  • Results-oriented professional with verbal/written communication skills using diplomacy and discretion
  • Customer service skills
  • Ability to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team, pay attention to detail and meet deadlines
  • Analytic and Reporting skills
  • Sound judgement and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume, team environment
  • Prior supervisory experience (preferred)
