About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Drive area revenue, utilization, and growth objectives through sales strategies and territory plans
  • Support regional and corporate initiatives, product launches, Impact program expansion, National Account partnerships, marketing campaigns, and strategic priorities
  • Coach Sales Representatives to drive new business acquisition, customer retention, utilization growth, and expansion of Breg products and services
  • Review KPIs including sales pipeline activity, utilization trends, business development, forecasting, retention, and profitability
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, competitive activity, and territory performance to identify growth opportunities
  • Coach representatives on pricing strategies and ensure compliance with pricing guidelines
  • Ensure accurate reporting of sales activities, forecasts, territory opportunities, customer interactions, and market intelligence
  • Drive use of CRM, PowerBI, and reporting tools
  • Lead, coach, mentor, and develop geographically dispersed Sales Representatives
  • Provide field support through ride-alongs, joint customer visits, business reviews, and coaching sessions
  • Establish performance expectations and accountability for sales goals, activity metrics, pipeline management, customer engagement, CRM use, and operational requirements
  • Conduct performance discussions, territory reviews, and development planning
  • Ensure team members maintain technical, clinical, and commercial competencies
  • Serve as an escalation point for account strategies, customer challenges, competitive situations, and complex sales opportunities
  • Manage expenditures for the assigned area and align them with budgetary responsibilities
  • Select, develop, and manage staff; ensure staffing levels and resource allocation
  • Perform administrative tasks related to timekeeping, pay, performance, policy administration, and related matters
  • Assess staff and provide feedback on technical proficiency and effectiveness
  • Identify work goals and create individual development plans
  • Evaluate training programs
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key customers, physicians, administrators, practice managers, and healthcare stakeholders

  • Assist with territory alignment, resource planning, and market coverage assessments
  • Support inventory management, compliance initiatives, operational consistency, and customer service standards
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Impact Solutions, Revenue Cycle Management, Field Service, Field Inventory, Product Management, and other internal partners
  • Participate in trade shows, customer events, regional meetings, and industry association activities
  • Adhere to Breg policies, SOPs, HIPAA, FDA requirements, and customer account procedures
  • Promote Breg's culture and demonstrate accountability through the See it, Own it, Solve it, and Do it framework

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing or related field required; experience may be considered in lieu of education
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive business-to-business (B2B) sales experience in the medical device industry, preferably orthopedics, durable medical equipment (DME), sports medicines, orthotic and prosthetic (O&P)
  • Proven history of sales success
  • Minimum 1 year of experience leading and managing geographically dispersed direct and independent sales teams
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with people across all levels
  • Experience with standard workflows and procedures in orthopedic clinics or physician offices
  • Knowledge of orthopedic bracing and supply products and applicable utilization procedures
  • Proficiency in developing and executing revenue growth plans
  • Understanding of healthcare reimbursement and insurance processes
  • Experience with Oracle, CRM, and PowerBI strongly preferred
  • Computer proficiency with web browsers/internet search, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, Project, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to learn new software and systems
  • Experience using artificial intelligence productivity tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or Claude
  • Effective written and verbal communication
  • Compliance with HIPAA, FDA requirements, Breg policies, SOPs, and assigned customer account policies
