About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist with routine campus operations and assist students, faculty, staff, and potential students professionally
- Answer telephones professionally and courteously
- Assist professors with copying and clerical tasks
- Coordinate and set up classroom technology for faculty
- Assist faculty with classroom technology and office equipment
- Assist campus staff with work projects and assignments
- Check computers and printers in labs and the student center at the end of each shift
- Return classrooms to their original setup and keep the campus neat and orderly
- Replenish and stock supplies, including copier paper
- Ensure the campus is open during posted campus hours
- Secure and close the campus at posted campus hours
- Answer student questions or direct students to the correct person or department
- Help students with procedural matters related to continued enrollment
- Check classrooms for students and lock doors at the end of operating hours
- Lock entrances and exits and set the alarm at the end of operating hours
- Perform other duties as assigned
- No supervisory responsibilities required
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma required; additional education preferred
- Basic knowledge of IT support functions
- Good communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment and under pressure
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Moderate proficiency in Google-based programs, including Gmail, Drive, and Calendar
- Must be eligible to work in the United States on or before the confirmed start date without employer sponsorship
- Must be willing to submit to and pass a pre-employment criminal background check
- Subject to random criminal history background checks
- Must be able to operate standard office equipment and keyboards
- Must be able to travel short distances and/or drive a vehicle to deliver and pick up materials
- Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects weighing up to 15 pounds
- Close visual acuity for computer work, reading, transcription, and data preparation
- Must report Title IX-related sex discrimination or sex-based harassment concerns as a Responsible Employee
- Must promptly provide Title IX Coordinator contact information when informed of pregnancy or related conditions
- Proof of any professional degree, license, or certification required to competently perform the work must be submitted at application
