About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist with routine campus operations and provide professional, courteous assistance to students, faculty, staff and potential students
- Answer telephones professionally and courteously
- Assist professors with copying and clerical tasks
- Coordinate and set up classroom technology for faculty
- Assist faculty with classroom technology and office equipment
- Assist campus staff with work projects or assignments
- Check computers and printers in labs and the student center at the end of each shift
- Return classrooms to their original setup and ensure the campus is neat and orderly
- Replenish and stock supplies, including copier paper
- Ensure the campus is open during posted hours
- Secure and close the campus at posted closing hours
- Answer student questions or direct students to the correct person or department
- Help students with procedural matters related to continued enrollment
- Check classrooms and lock doors at the end of operating hours
- Lock entrances and exits and set the alarm at the end of operating hours
- Report possible sex discrimination or sex-based harassment to the Title IX Coordinator as a Responsible Employee
- Perform other duties as assigned
- No supervisory responsibilities required
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma; additional education is preferred
- Basic knowledge of IT support functions
- Good communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment and under pressure
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Moderate proficiency in Google-based programs (Gmail, Drive, Calendar, etc.)
- Eligible to work in the United States without employer sponsorship
- Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check
- Subject to random criminal history background checks
- Ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards
- Ability to travel short distances and/or drive a vehicle to deliver and pick up materials
- Ability to exert up to 15 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects
- Close visual acuity and ability to perform repetitive wrist, hand and finger movements
