About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and manage commercial, purchasing and stock control activities across Scotland
  • Maximise commercial income, improve sales profitability and contribute to EBITDA targets
  • Oversee supply chain, procurement and inventory activities across the Scotland business
  • Lead end-to-end supply chain operations and coordinate stock purchases
  • Manage import purchasing activities where required
  • Monitor stock levels and inventory KPIs across Glasgow and Perth depots
  • Coordinate stock procurement and movements across the wider depot network
  • Manage supplier relationships and improve OTIF delivery performance
  • Resolve supply-related customer issues and complaints
  • Lead and develop Stock Control teams across Glasgow and Perth
  • Conduct performance reviews, objective setting and development planning
  • Collaborate with Sales, Product Management, Operations and depot teams
  • Produce reports and performance updates for the Regional Customer Service & Procurement Manager
  • Monitor performance against targets and recommend corrective actions
  • Promote health, safety and environmental compliance across supply chain and stock control functions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Previous experience managing supply chain, procurement or stock control functions within a target-driven environment
  • Proven leadership experience with responsibility for team management and development
  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding of operating within a profit-driven business
  • Experience managing supplier relationships and procurement activities
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to analyse performance data and implement corrective actions where required
  • CIPS qualification or actively working towards professional procurement accreditation
  • Experience within a multi-site distribution or industrial environment
  • Knowledge and experience of SAP systems and processes
  • Experience managing imports and complex supply chain activities
