About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop comprehensive outreach and marketing strategies tailored to the demographics, cultures, and ethnicities of the target county
- Create partnership strategies fostering mutual referrals and positioning BrightLife Kids as a valuable community resource
- Build and nurture relationships with county health officials, school district leadership, and executives of major community-based organizations
- Manage a regional portfolio with significant autonomy
- Present comprehensive updates and strategic recommendations at key milestones
- Identify service gaps and market opportunities
- Contribute to new assets and engagement tactics
- Research contacts using Google, LinkedIn, and school district websites
- Navigate and persuade grassroots groups, public health boards, and education boards around shared child mental-well-being goals
- Lead and participate in in-person activation events, online webinars, and school fairs
- Educate parents about child mental well-being and BrightLife Kids services
- Distribute branded swag and conduct webinars or in-person sessions
- Track outreach, engagement, and conversion metrics
- Report progress, insights, and recommendations to the manager, marketing team, and upper management
- Use Salesforce as the primary CRM tool
- Gather engagement insights and feedback to improve outreach and marketing strategies
- Identify new assets and content to address evolving needs and nurture long-term relationships
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in community engagement, public health, health promotion, or a related field
- Knowledge of pediatric mental health or early childhood development is a plus
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is highly preferred
- Experience navigating public/community health and school-based systems to build programs and gain community adoption
- Experience in cold outreach, relationship building, prospect research, and developing high-touch nurture campaigns
- Proven experience with Salesforce or a similar CRM to manage a partnership pipeline, track outreach performance, and use data to inform decisions
- Deep understanding of communication strategies and expertise in engaging specific demographics, cultures, and ethnicities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong public speaking confidence and event participation experience
- Ability to operate independently with minimal oversight, managing complex projects with a proactive growth mindset and high agility
- Must be based in California
- Reliable transportation
- Flexible schedule to accommodate 2–3 evening or weekend events per month
- Able to lift up to 25 lbs
- Able to stand for extended periods (4–6 hours)
- Able to staff outdoor in-person events in various weather conditions
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States or answer whether visa sponsorship will be required
