About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build and deliver scalable datasets, complex data reports, and analytical solutions for Finance PMO, Process Excellence & Business Optimization, and Internal Audit & Controls groups
Partner with finance business stakeholders and billing system stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into actionable analytics
Define data requirements and translate business questions into scalable analytical solutions focused on financial, statistical, and billing system data
Extract, integrate, validate, and analyze data from multiple internal and external sources
Develop, maintain, and optimize SQL queries, data pipelines, and analytical models using BigQuery, Python, and other data technologies
Design, build, and maintain recurring and ad hoc reports, dashboards, and analytical outputs
Reconcile results across systems, identify discrepancies, and resolve data quality issues with stakeholders
Analyze trends, patterns, and anomalies and present findings through visualizations and executive-ready insights
Support cross-functional initiatives involving data engineering, analytics, reporting, and data warehouse or data mart migrations
Develop and maintain scalable datasets, feature stores, and reusable analytical assets
Collaborate across multiple functional areas to deliver analytical solutions aligned with organizational priorities
Stay current with data technologies and improve data processes, reporting capabilities, and analytical solutions
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Accounting/Finance/Business, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Information Systems, or a related field
Minimum of 7 years of experience developing scalable datasets, reporting solutions, and analytical insights in a business environment
Minimum of 5 years of experience working with cloud-based data platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Experience with large-scale data warehouses, data lakes, or lakehouse environments
Strong proficiency in SQL and Python
Experience using additional scripting or query languages as needed
Strong adherence to data quality checks and report testing processes
Advanced experience with Google BigQuery or comparable cloud-based analytical databases
Strong understanding of relational database design, data modeling, query optimization, APIs, and ETL/ELT concepts
Experience integrating data from multiple source systems into consolidated analytical datasets
Experience developing reports and dashboards using business intelligence tools
Advanced familiarity with cloud data platforms and modern analytics architectures
Familiarity and hands-on experience with AI processes to increase productivity and efficiency
Strong analytical thinking and exceptional attention to detail and data accuracy
Ability to navigate ambiguity and solve complex business problems using logical, data-driven approaches
Strong communication skills for translating technical findings into business-friendly insights for executive audiences
Excellent collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams
Ability to prioritize multiple projects and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment
Telecommunications industry experience, including telecom billing systems, preferred
Experience with SAP S/4 HANA Finance, BRIM, RAR, and other SAP applications, preferred
Experience with finance and ERP systems other than SAP, preferred
Experience with data governance, data quality, and metadata management frameworks, preferred
Experience with Tableau, Looker, and specifically Power BI, preferred
Experience supporting enterprise reporting, financial analytics, or executive dashboards, preferred
Professional certifications in Google Cloud Platform, Data Analytics, or related technologies, preferred
Advanced degree in a related field, preferred
Ability to participate in virtual and in-person meetings
Ability to work in a primarily office-based or remote office environment
Ability to use a computer and standard office equipment
