About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work as a consultant within the Digital Engineering team
- Work with clients to define digital strategy and execution roadmaps
- Design and implement differentiated digital solutions that deliver measurable value
- Architect and implement scalable application solutions aligned with business objectives and technology strategies
- Establish and enforce architecture principles, standards, and guidelines
- Develop and maintain architecture diagrams and documentation, communicating design rationale to stakeholders
- Lead the design and optimization of data storage solutions for high availability and performance
- Formulate and execute migration strategies for legacy systems with minimal business impact
- Design and implement security models, including role-based access controls
- Assess, select, and recommend technology stacks and frameworks with clear justification
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate services and deliver cohesive architectural solutions
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8+ years of experience (the description also states at least 7 to 8 years) in architecture design and application development
- Proven leadership in end-to-end solution design initiatives
- Advanced proficiency in application design and enterprise solution architecture
- In-depth knowledge of TOGAF or Zachman architectural frameworks
- Expertise in technical documentation and architecture diagrams
- Strong skills in data modeling and storage design for distributed systems
- Experience planning and executing system migrations
- Experience designing and implementing role-based security models
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and RESTful API design
- Experience with technology evaluation and selection for large-scale projects
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Experience implementing integration patterns for enterprise systems
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a closely related field (listed under Desired Qualifications)
- Certification in TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Azure Solutions Architect Expert (listed under Desired Qualifications)
- Hybrid availability, 2–3 days in Dallas, Texas
- Containerization knowledge with Docker and Kubernetes is preferred
- Experience designing CI/CD pipelines using DevOps practices is preferred
- Knowledge of event-driven architecture and enterprise messaging systems is preferred
- Familiarity with Terraform or AWS CloudFormation is preferred
- Expertise in performance tuning and system scalability is preferred
- Understanding of data governance and regulatory compliance frameworks is preferred
