About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design and implement complex network solutions based on business requirements and industry best practices
- Develop scalable and secure network architecture for on-premises and cloud environments
- Conduct network assessments and performance analysis to identify and resolve potential issues
- Collaborate with IT and business teams to create and execute project plans for network infrastructure deployment and upgrades
- Oversee and optimize routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and other network hardware and software
- Configure and manage network protocols, IP addressing schemes, OSPF, BGP, DNS, and DHCP
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues to minimize downtime and ensure operational continuity
- Document network designs, configurations, and operational procedures
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and network security best practices
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least 5 years of experience in network architecture or network engineering, including hands-on experience designing, configuring, and maintaining large-scale enterprise networks
- Advanced knowledge of network protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, and SNMP
- Expertise in VPN, LAN/WAN, and wireless network solutions
- Experience with firewall configuration and security policies
- Hands-on experience with network monitoring tools such as LogicMonitor, SolarWinds, Nagios, or PRTG
- Strong proficiency in routing and switching technologies
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Preferred: Experience with SD-WAN implementation and management
- Preferred: Familiarity with MPLS and QoS technologies
- Preferred: Ability to design redundant, resilient, and fault-tolerant network systems
- Preferred: Knowledge of emerging networking technologies and trends
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline (desired qualification)
- CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent network engineering certification (desired qualification)
- CompTIA Network+ or similar industry-recognized network certification (desired qualification)
