About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Partner with employees, managers, and senior leaders to provide strategic HR guidance across employee relations, performance management, organizational effectiveness, and other core people matters
  • Advise leaders on workforce planning, organizational design, team effectiveness, leadership development, and people-related business decisions
  • Coach and develop leaders from frontline managers to senior executives
  • Provide guidance on employee relations matters while balancing employee experience, company values, business needs, and applicable employment laws and regulations
  • Lead and advise on performance management processes, including goal setting, performance concerns, development plans, promotions, and talent decisions
  • Own and evolve compensation philosophy and career architecture, including job levels, career paths, pay ranges, promotion frameworks, internal equity, market competitiveness, and employee growth
  • Partner with leaders on organizational change and strategic people initiatives
  • Translate business needs into practical HR programs and recommendations and support implementation
  • Analyze workforce and employee data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities related to retention, engagement, performance, organizational health, and talent development
  • Balance strategic partnership with hands-on execution and proactively improve people practices and business outcomes
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and sound judgment when handling sensitive employee, compensation, performance, and organizational matters

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of applicable experience
  • 6+ years of progressive professional human resources experience
  • Employment Law Knowledge
  • Extensive Experience with an HRIS (Sequoia preferred)
  • Experience in an engineering, production or manufacturing environment supporting an exempt and hourly workforce
  • Demonstrated success at building effective relationships
  • Ability to lead with a positive attitude and approach challenges head-on
  • Experience independently handling employee relations issues
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to use independent judgment to make decisions as well as organize and prioritize work
  • Demonstrated excellence thriving in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • SHRM-SCP or SPHR a plus
  • Located within commutable distance to Seattle, WA; relocation support is not provided
  • Ability to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future
