About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead compensation and benefits programs for operations across Europe
  • Design and implement a comprehensive compensation strategy aligned with company objectives
  • Leverage the global benefits strategy to execute within assigned markets
  • Conduct benchmarking and competitive market analysis
  • Oversee job architecture and classification processes
  • Develop, review, and update compensation and benefits policies and programs
  • Ensure compliance with labor law, tax regulations, industry trends, and the European Pay Transparency Directive
  • Partner with HR leadership, finance, and senior management on compensation, benefits, business goals, and workforce planning
  • Oversee base pay, variable pay, and benefits program design and administration
  • Use data analytics and reporting tools to evaluate program effectiveness and recommend improvements
  • Lead and develop a team of total rewards professionals supporting Europe
  • Develop employee communication strategies for compensation and benefits programs
  • Manage the compensation budget and cost-effectiveness of programs
  • Collaborate with HR and management to align compensation with performance management initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in compensation and benefits management
  • At least 5 years in a leadership role within a large organization
  • Strong leadership capabilities and experience managing and developing high-performing teams
  • Proficiency in compensation analytics and data interpretation
  • Strong understanding of relevant tools and software
  • In-depth knowledge of European compensation and benefits trends, regulations, and best practices
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively
  • Deep understanding of compensation and benefits programs
  • Experience with union negotiations, works council involvement, contractual agreements, and global HR systems
  • Deep knowledge of job architecture
  • Ability to navigate local and global system integration
  • Master’s degree or Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification preferred
