About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage quoting and shipment requests from a dedicated list of clients
  • Serve as face-to-face contact for assigned profile clients
  • Maintain customer calculators and rates with the commercial sales team
  • Adhere to SOX compliance and quote approval procedures
  • Onboard customers using mandated KYC tools and systems
  • Use group emails and case management systems to close customer request tickets
  • Create Customer Service Orders in ATLAS and add quotes to the revenue tab
  • Generate quarterly business reports for profiled clients
  • Coordinate with Transportation Coordination to address customer concerns
  • Resolve customer invoice and billing inquiries with the Billing department
  • Deliver customer training material
  • Respond to customer communications, resolve or escalate issues, provide product line data, and quote prices
  • Coordinate transportation arrangements including routing, delivery, booking, and logistics
  • Respond to shipment-status inquiries, trace requests, and proof-of-delivery requests
  • Handle administrative responsibilities, reports, and Customer Support projects
  • Stay up-to-date on freight price changes
  • Research customer claims and ensure service complaints are handled appropriately
  • Make transportation arrangements with consideration for security implications and BGS procedures
  • Coordinate with Sales and internal departments to ensure order accuracy and effective relationship management
  • Build customer relationships and oversee projects to improve service levels
  • Back up the Supervisor of Customer Care Sales during absences or increased workload
  • Oversee customer reporting, including daily reports and monthly/quarterly inventory statements
  • Provide day-to-day leadership support to other quote and shipment specialists

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Customer Service with a concentration in high volume and large account management
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in inside sales B2B segment
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience using MS Office and Windows applications
  • A valid firearms permit or ability to pass applicable firearms licensing requirements if required
  • A valid guard card or ability to obtain a guard card or any other required licenses
  • Must be 21 years or older
  • Experience in freight forwarding/transportation or related field (preferred)
  • Associate’s degree (preferred)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills as well as working collaboratively with others
  • Working knowledge of armored transportation, logistics, or banking a plus
  • Good basic math skills
