About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide strategic clinical oversight and support for day-to-day clinical community operations
  • Support Executive Directors, Health and Wellness Directors, clinical associates, district leaders, and regional team leaders
  • Implement and maintain clinical policies and procedures
  • Conduct regular clinical quality audits through community site visits and healthcare-area audits
  • Produce written audit findings and ensure risk action plans are implemented
  • Analyze community models to support clinical staffing based on community size and residents served
  • Support quality care and service delivery and develop medical professional relationships
  • Oversee community survey readiness and regulatory compliance
  • Monitor clinical quality metrics and outcomes related to falls, elopements, medication administration, psychotropic drug reduction, and skin integrity
  • Support infection control and risk management with Executive Directors
  • Analyze resident incident reports and support corrective action plans
  • Verify Community Care Conference and Collaborative Care Process compliance
  • Review resident clinical assessments and validate documentation of clinical services
  • Ensure the CARE process addresses controllable resident move-outs
  • Provide clinical guidance on appropriate levels of care for resident move-ins
  • Support resident and family satisfaction related to clinical care
  • Promote preferred pharmacy relationships and at least 80% resident participation
  • Support the community-based Personal Solutions program and associated budget goals
  • Participate in hiring, training, mentoring, onboarding, and coaching clinical associates
  • Analyze resident and medication incident trends and assist with process improvement plans
  • Review healthcare reports, trends, and move-outs to support process improvement

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.N.) from four-year college or university preferred
  • RN license required / Licensed as a registered nurse
  • Minimum of five to seven years related experience and/or training, most of which are in the geriatric field
  • Experience with the elderly required
  • Thorough understanding of aging issues related to health
  • Valid driver's license
  • Access to a private vehicle for business travel
  • Significant knowledge of an advanced discipline and related fields
  • Knowledge of the organization, work environment, and processes
  • Ability to direct multiple functions and/or departments with full responsibility for operational results
  • Ability to make analytical decisions and solve complex and varied problems
  • Ability to travel frequently
  • Ability to work occasional weekends, evenings, or nights
  • On-call availability
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to interact with co-workers, residents, or vendors
