About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Generate high-volume recurring streams of new move-in revenue for assigned Brookdale communities with sales associate vacancies
  • Outperform budgeted sales goals and community revenue targets by completing processes required to close sales
  • Travel to communities within a specified geographic area; assignments vary in length and may change with little notice
  • Drive rapid occupancy growth and prioritize rate integrity through daily phone and in-person sales calls that convert to move-ins
  • Manage sales-specific software and Customer Relationship Management systems, including accurate data entry and database cleanup
  • Communicate product information, availability, pricing, and concessions to community associates
  • Attend daily stand-ups
  • Maintain knowledge of relevant competition in assigned markets
  • Provide accurate and timely move-in forecasts
  • Communicate incoming residents’ needs and preferences to Executive Directors and appropriate community associates
  • Foster a positive image of assigned communities and the Brookdale brand with customers, residents, associates, and professional/volunteer influencers

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field and one to two years of experience
  • Additional years of related work experience may be substituted for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis up to four years
  • Requires a valid driver’s license
  • Frequent car and/or air travel as needed
  • Knowledge of sales and marketing principles, methods, marketing strategy and tactics, sales techniques, and sales control systems
  • Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid regulations and applicable processes for the product lines being sold
  • Knowledge of state regulations impacting or directing service delivery
  • Ability to operate smartphones, personal computers, and related software
  • Ability to manage time, tasks, and projects in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to assess and understand customers’ expectations, needs, and circumstances
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse personalities and treat people with dignity, respect, fairness, and maturity
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Frequent travel required
  • Occasional weekend, evening, or night work as needed to ensure shift coverage
