About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial transactions before applying funds
  • Work collaboratively with accounting teams and field offices to support accounts receivable activities and resolve issues
  • Handle operating and trust account exceptions with proper resolution and documentation
  • Collaborate with Account Managers to identify payments and accurately apply them to corresponding accounts
  • Complete daily reconciliation between bank payments and payments receipted in the system
  • Gather supporting evidence and send it to the Supervisor for review
  • Process finance agreements for funding according to established procedures
  • Handle portal tickets, inquiries, and issues
  • Facilitate interoffice bank transfers with proper documentation and compliance
  • Review and resolve payments in the "Claim this Client" system
  • Monitor and manage aged receivables and resolve outstanding issues
  • Provide backup support during peak workloads or absences
  • Assist with ad hoc projects assigned by management

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Insurance accounting experience required
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)
  • 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable or related financial analysis role
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Strong Customer Service skills and background
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Adaptability to changing processes and willingness to learn
