About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the organization’s technology needs
- Act as liaison between business and IT
- Provide business-critical or complex technical solutions meeting user needs
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional requirements
- Prioritize requirements and conduct user acceptance testing
- Understand business processes and interdependencies among systems
- Facilitate discussions between business units and technology teams to align on requirements
- Elicit detailed system requirements and create workflows to address business demand
- Gather, analyze, document and translate business requirements into functional specifications
- Identify and communicate risks, issues and potential solution strategies
- Provide status updates to senior leadership and impacted teammates
- Lead sessions with business users to identify system enhancements
- Document requirements and obtain sign-off
- Communicate project priorities to the IT team
- Help create training materials and train end users on system enhancements and new programs
- Provide reports and data extracts to internal and external business partners
- Train, mentor and support other staff members
Requirements
What you’ll need- A minimum 8–10 years of related experience
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree
- Expert level proficiency in Microsoft suite, Office365; focus on Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with new system implementations, workflows, requirements gathering and software life cycle
- Insurance industry experience (Personal Lines – Home Owners)
- Experience working with offshore resource model
- Mentoring and giving direction to peers
- Routine or periodic travel, including driving own or rental vehicle
- Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record report at hire and periodically thereafter
- Maintenance of minimum acceptable insurance coverages
- Preferred: Insurance industry experience in MGU
- Preferred: Experience with Unqork, Solartis and Salesforce systems
- Manual dexterity and arm/upper-body range of motion sufficient for keyboard, mouse and telephone use 7–8 hours per day
- Vision sufficient for computer monitor use
- Ability to sit at a desk 7–8 hours per day
