About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Increase sales volume through prospect and new client development
- Retain clients by managing relationships and collaborating with team members
- Build professional networks, identify leads, and qualify prospects
- Establish and manage client relationships and relationships with carrier partners and internal resources
- Conduct risk management surveys and determine insurance coverage needs
- Develop stewardship reporting and advise clients on insurance coverage options
- Provide professional advice for improving insurance and risk management programs
- Prepare documentation for new business and renewal proposals and negotiate coverage placement quotes
- Present and sell new business and renewal proposals to prospective and existing client decision-makers
- Review and resolve client disputes regarding complex claims
- Follow agency guidelines, policies, and procedures
- Participate in training and continuing education to remain current on industry information, products, legislation, coverages, technology, and licensing requirements
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Valid Producer license in good standing, within 90 days of hire
- College Degree in Business Administration, Insurance, Risk Management or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong technical knowledge of all lines of insurance coverage
- Familiarity with agency management system and other applications related to insurance sales
