About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build and maintain strong relationships and service standards for high-profile clients
- Serve as the direct point of contact for daily service issues
- Process and market Book of Business renewals
- Support Producers on assigned accounts
- Act as Marketing Manager for renewals and guide assigned teammates
- Communicate Brown & Brown resources to clients across Pharmacy, Retirement, Commercial, and related areas
- Drive the Client Service Cycle
- Manage increasingly complex accounts with the Benefit Consultant
- Maintain direct account responsibility as strategic relationship manager and client liaison
- Retain an assigned group of clients
- Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to teammates and new hires
- Prioritize workflow and ensure accountability and follow-through
- Address and resolve internal and external challenges
- Keep clients informed about compliance-related issues
- Identify client needs, provide solutions, and manage strategic client objectives
- Ensure compliance with I/O Standards
- Maintain relationships within the Houston office, with clients, and vendor partners
- Leverage Brown & Brown resources, Excel, PowerPoint, work products, and knowledge for client deliverables
- Manage client and vendor expectations for timely delivery
- Drive innovation and process improvement
- Maintain current records in BAM
- Comply with company processes, I/O standards, and office initiatives
- Complete insurance-industry and company training

Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree in related industry preferred and/or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years of equivalent experience
- Proficient with MS Office Suite
- Microsoft Excel – Strong to expert level skills
- Strong analytical and critical thinking ability
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and exercise judgement
- Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Capable of interpreting data and interacting with clients on a time-sensitive basis
- Demonstrates a sense of urgency and a proactive approach to meeting client requirements
- Life & Health Insurance license required
- Routine or periodic travel may be required
- Must provide acceptable Motor Vehicle Record results when required
- Must maintain minimum acceptable insurance coverages when required
- Ability to perform required physical duties, including keyboard, mouse, telephone, computer monitor, and desk work 7–8 hours per day
