About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Write all new business policies
  • Maintain and service all renewal policies
  • Assist insureds with service needs, including questions, changes, and cancellations
  • Identify competitive carriers for remarketing existing business and account retention
  • Account round existing clients and cross-sell other departments within the organization
  • Ensure quotes are accurate and complete before proposal
  • Develop and maintain client relationships to identify changing coverage needs
  • Seek new business referrals from current clients, friends, family, and teammates
  • Manage documentation control across scanned, paper, electronic, and verbal records
  • Apply Quality Control Compliance standards for the department
  • Analyze and answer policyholder and carrier requests by telephone, email, or in person

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite
  • Knowledge of agency management systems
  • Exceptional telephone demeanor and strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Property & Casualty License or ability to obtain within 6 months
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar position
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in a business or financial-related discipline preferred
  • Insurance Designation (i.e. CPRIA, CISR, CIC, ARM) preferred
