About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Evaluate insurance applications, assess risk, and determine appropriate coverage terms and pricing
  • Analyze applicant information and conduct risk assessments
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards
  • Maintain the financial soundness of the insurance portfolio
  • Provide service to agents and clients
  • Scan/save policy materials within the share drive for Employer Stop Loss (ESL)
  • Enter and/or research information into the ESL/DY system
  • Ensure complete and accurate data entry in ESL/DY to support data collection and evaluation
  • Determine risk eligibility against available program guidelines using knowledge and independent judgment
  • Support the Underwriter with daily workflow, administrative, and clerical functions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or a related field
  • Minimum 1 year work experience, preferably in the insurance industry
  • Ability to work independently and carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines and standard accepted underwriting practices
