About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage a team of cloud engineers.
Develop and implement cloud strategies aligned with organizational goals and business value.
Assign team personnel to projects and direct and monitor their activities.
Ensure standard operating procedures and system documentation are developed and maintained to maximize uptime and IT resource utilization.
Provide leadership and mentorship to cloud engineering staff.
Drive timely delivery of projects and tasks.
Oversee and review architecture of complex cloud solutions for scalability, reliability, and security.
Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, cost-efficiency, and security.
Stay current with cloud technologies and trends and drive organizational innovation.
Manage cloud projects and coordinate with various teams for successful implementation.
Maintain documentation of cloud architecture, processes, best practices, and disaster recovery plans.
Ensure compliance with security policies, data protection regulations, and industry standards.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

What you’ll need

A bachelor’s degree is preferred, or related work experience in lieu of degree.
A General certification in one of the major cloud platforms is preferred.
10+ years of experience required, with a preference toward large enterprise environments.
Health care experience is a plus.
Experience as a Cloud Engineer, with a focus on leadership and advanced-level responsibilities.
General understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
General understanding of cloud architecture, automation tools, and security best practices.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Supervisory responsibility for up to 15 FTEs.
