About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Ensure continued excellent operation of Budderfly HVAC units within the geographic area
  • Maintain and repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems and equipment
  • Identify maintenance risks on HVAC/R equipment
  • Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults
  • Complete commissioning checks and correct HVAC RTU controller configurations
  • Perform physical maintenance, including changing filters, cleaning coils, inspecting/replacing belts, and inspecting units for mechanical failures
  • Clean, adjust, and repair systems and perform warranty services
  • Perform emergency repairs promptly and efficiently
  • Keep daily logs and records in the company work order system
  • Ensure compliance with applicable state and federal standards and the Occupational Health and Safety Act
  • Comply with service standards, work instructions, and customer requirements
  • Assist with customer queries
  • On-call is not required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of experience working as a service technician on HVAC/R systems
  • EPA Universal Certification is required
  • HVAC Contractor H2 License is a plus
  • HVAC Controls experience
  • Familiarity with Lennox Core Controllers and Carrier SystemVu controllers is a benefit
  • Ability to recognize control and mechanical issues before they compound
  • Ability to travel within Raleigh, NC and surrounding areas
  • Flexibility, including working some weekends
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Ability to work across/with organizational teams
  • Customer- and safety-focused
