About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build Buenro's entire sales department as the first senior sales leader
  • Develop the sales strategy for event curators across music, conferences and sport
  • Identify target curators, prioritize opportunities and qualify deals
  • Generate outbound leads using AI, CRM and automation tools while maintaining personalized outreach
  • Build and lead an ambassador network in the festival and events industry
  • Grow network, referral and inbound sales channels
  • Work with the Brand & Marketing Lead across sales touchpoints
  • Run the full sales cycle from initial conversation through pitch, negotiation and signature
  • Sell multi-year exclusive partnerships and engage curators before existing contracts end
  • Work closely with the COO on agreements and contract commitments
  • Ensure signed curators successfully launch, grow, renew and refer others
  • Coordinate with product on custom features and launch timelines
  • Oversee concierge operations and ensure accommodation supply is ready for each event
  • Develop scalable supply and accommodation-partnership processes
  • Master CRM and pipeline tools and build a repeatable sales playbook
  • Report pipeline status, meetings, learnings and performance to the CEO and COO
  • Analyze bottlenecks, determine hiring needs, and hire and lead the sales team
  • In the first 90 days, review the pipeline, meet ambassadors and curators, establish outbound methods and close the first three curator partnerships

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Intimately know the world of festivals and events and be comfortable operating in those circles
  • Exceptional networking ability and access to event founders through personal networks and warm introductions
  • Experience selling B2B partnerships with long sales cycles and multi-year contracts
  • Experience building and leading sales teams
  • Ability to perform the sales work personally before hiring and scaling a team
  • Experience running outbound sales at scale while keeping outreach personal
  • Fluency with AI and CRM tools
  • Strong numerical and pipeline-management skills
  • Assertive, direct, relationship-driven approach
  • Ability to build trust with curators
  • Nice to have: established name within the festival or events community
  • Nice to have: experience selling into high-end or curated event communities
  • Nice to have: experience at a ticketing platform or event-tech company
  • Additional languages are a nice to have
