About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Schedule and monitor system batches daily, including weekends
- Follow established timeframes, proactively engage stakeholders to determine and publish the monthly batch calendar, and adjust schedules due to ad hoc requests in Production and Non-Production environments
- Update system factor tables
- Update security access
- Support operations of the applications
- Trigger and monitor file transmissions
- Ensure timely reporting of production processing problems related to supported applications
- Analyze and document instances of application failures
- Support applications on-site and remotely as needed, including on weekends and off hours
- Maintain support documentation and procedure manuals
- Test applications and document test cases, test results, and defect descriptions
- Establish, develop, and maintain positive effective working relationships with internal stakeholders and vendors
- Perform other tasks as assigned by management/supervisory staff
- Report to the Manager, Business Analysts
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least 2 years of work experience with batch scheduling and calendar planning
- Strong attention to detail; a high degree of accuracy is required
- Experience with user security administration, setting up and terminating users, creating and applying security roles, custom security access, and familiarity with security concepts
- Problem solving skills
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Very good organizational skills
- Ability to learn and adapt to change
- Ability to work in a team oriented environment
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from accredited college in Computer Science, Business or a related field preferred
- Equivalent experience will be considered
- Speak, read, write and understand English
- Regular weekend work, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays based on operational needs and established scheduling requirements
