About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead, hire, and grow a team of full-stack engineers
Stay hands-on across Python, Django, Postgres, React, and TypeScript
Own backend work including data modeling, API design, background processing, performance, and reliability
Partner with Product and Design from early ideas through shipped features
Provide engineering input on trade-offs and ways to deliver user value
Define how the team uses coding agents day to day
Build interfaces over 360° walkthroughs, drone imagery, 2D plans, 3D models, and large datasets
Contribute to greenfield product development alongside the established product

Requirements

What you’ll need

6+ years building software, with substantial production backend experience (Python/Django or similar)
Experience managing a full-stack team while personally contributing to backend design, code reviews, and hands-on development
Product mindset and experience owning features from idea to production with Product
Comfortable shipping frontend code in React and TypeScript
Daily, hands-on use of AI coding agents with informed opinions on their effectiveness
Strong technical judgment and clear communication
Experience with Python and Django (nice to have)
Experience with Postgres/MySQL at non-trivial scale (nice to have)
Experience building AI tooling, including custom commands, MCP servers, agent workflows, or internal LLM tooling (nice to have)
Previous startup experience (nice to have)
