About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Assess customer infrastructure, application, virtualization, storage, security, and cloud requirements
Design and implement hybrid solutions using Microsoft Azure PaaS, VMware, and HPE or Dell storage technologies
Advise customers on workload placement, including on-premises retention, Azure migration, PaaS modernization, and phased hybrid approaches
Design secure hybrid connectivity, identity, governance, monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery solutions
Develop migration and implementation plans including testing, validation, rollback, and business continuity requirements
Create technical designs, statements of work, bills of materials, implementation plans, as-built documentation, and operational runbooks
Lead customer discovery sessions and support pre-sales activities, solution presentations, effort estimates, and technology recommendations
Provide senior-level troubleshooting and technical guidance for complex cloud, virtualization, storage, performance, and integration issues
Research emerging technologies and recommend improvements, standards, and best practices
Provide coaching and technical support to junior team members
Travel approximately 10%-15% when necessary to customer offices

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree, college diploma, or certificate in information technology, computer science, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience and industry certifications
Seven or more years of progressive experience designing, implementing, or supporting enterprise infrastructure and cloud solutions
In-depth experience with Microsoft Azure PaaS, including application hosting, managed databases, integration services, storage, secrets management, monitoring, and private connectivity
Strong hands-on experience with VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter Server, clustering, high availability, virtual networking, lifecycle management, and migrations
Strong experience designing or supporting HPE or Dell enterprise storage, including capacity planning, performance analysis, replication, snapshots, SAN, NAS, Fibre Channel, and iSCSI
Experience with Azure networking, Microsoft Entra ID, Azure Policy, role-based access control, Private Link, private endpoints, VPN, and ExpressRoute concepts
Working knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, backup, disaster recovery, ransomware resilience, and recovery testing
Experience delivering customer-facing professional services engagements with defined scope, timelines, documentation, and acceptance criteria
Experience with ITIL-based incident and change management processes
Preferred certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305); Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104); VMware Certified Professional, Data Center Virtualization; HPE or Dell enterprise storage certification; Terraform, Azure DevOps, or related infrastructure automation certification
