About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide approximately 50% technical support and 50% project work
Handle high-priority and escalated network tickets
Contribute to network design, implementation, and improvement projects
Architect and support secure WAN, LAN, WLAN, and SD-WAN environments using FortiGate, FortiSwitch, and FortiAP
Design, deploy, and support enterprise wireless solutions
Provide senior-level technical escalation for complex network and security incidents
Support Bulletproof’s NOC environment and systems
Develop best-practice procedures for monitoring clients
Perform network capacity planning and availability analysis
Support sales teams with pre-sales engineering, solution scoping, and bill of materials creation
Conduct security assessments, firewall policy audits, and configuration hardening
Implement segmentation frameworks, micro-segmentation, and NAC policies
Tune Web Filtering, Anti-Malware, Application Control, and Intrusion Prevention security profiles

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum 5-7 years of networking experience
A university degree, college certificate or diploma in information technology and/or relevant experience and industry certification
Experience and/or certification in Cisco, Palo Alto and Fortinet networking technologies
Solid working knowledge of networking design, including Routing, LAN, WAN, and Wireless technologies including Fortinet and Cisco
Professional-level experience with Spanning-Tree, VLANs, QoS, IGMP, Multicast, MPLS, VPN, and hierarchical network architectures
Professional-level experience with OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, and SD-WAN
Experience supporting Enterprise and Public Cloud hosted network environments
Experience managing and monitoring platforms using SNMP, SSH, and APIs
Fortinet NSE 5, NSE 6, NSE 7, Palo Alto PCNSE, and Cisco CCNA strongly preferred
Experience with Microsoft Azure Networking, virtual FortiGate, and Azure Network Services preferred
Experience with FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiAuthenticator, FortiToken, SAML Authentication, FortiSwitch, FortiAP, FortiEMS, and FortiClient preferred
Experience with ZTNA is an asset
Familiarity with ITIL processes is an asset
Ability to travel 30% when necessary to customer offices
