About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build and maintain a welcoming and positive environment for all volunteers
  • Develop networking and knowledge-sharing formats for volunteers, such as topic-based discussion groups, regular meetings, or informal events
  • Build and maintain connections between volunteers and specialist departments
  • Shape a positive volunteer experience, from onboarding through ongoing support
  • Design a People & Culture experience with recognition initiatives and benefits on a very limited budget
  • Work closely with the Executive Board on strategic direction and priorities
  • Gather feedback from volunteers and translate it into concrete improvements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience in community, culture, or volunteer management, human resources, or a comparable role
  • Strong interpersonal awareness and sensitivity to group dynamics, combined with the ability to turn insights into concrete initiatives
  • Creativity in working with limited resources: great ideas matter more than budget
  • Strong organizational skills and reliability in execution
  • Clear and appreciative communication with people from diverse backgrounds
  • A formal qualification is not required; practical experience is what counts
