About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build and maintain a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all volunteers
- Develop networking and knowledge-sharing formats for volunteers, such as topic-focused roundtables, regular meetings, and informal gatherings
- Build networking opportunities by establishing and maintaining connections between volunteers and specialist departments
- Shape a positive volunteer experience, from onboarding through ongoing support
- Design a People & Culture experience—including recognition initiatives and benefits—within a very limited budget
- Work closely with the Executive Board on strategic direction and priorities
- Gather feedback from volunteers and translate it into concrete improvements
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience in community, culture, or volunteer management; human resources; or a comparable role
- Strong empathy and awareness of people and group dynamics, combined with the ability to turn insights into concrete initiatives
- Creativity when working with limited resources: great ideas matter more than budget
- Strong organizational skills and reliability in execution
- Clear, respectful communication with people from a wide range of backgrounds
- A formal degree is not required; practical experience is what matters
