About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the retail sector
- Generate and qualify leads through cold calling, networking, referrals, and industry events
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective customers and business opportunities
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with customers and strategic partners
- Achieve quarterly and annual sales and revenue goals through proactive business development efforts
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, and product teams to support growth initiatives and outreach campaigns
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify new opportunities and support business strategies
- Deliver presentations and product demonstrations to potential customers
- Track and maintain customer interactions, sales activities, and opportunities within HubSpot
- Work with internal teams to ensure a smooth transition of new customers for ongoing account management
- Attend trade shows, conferences, and networking events to promote McCue products and services
- Maintain accurate business development records, reports, and performance metrics
- Support additional business development and sales initiatives as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor's degree preferred; degree in Professional Selling, Marketing, or Business is a plus
- Telephone sales experience preferred
- Strong prospecting and lead generation skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to build and maintain client relationships
- Proficiency in HubSpot and ZoomInfo preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Practical sales experience required, preferably in food/meat processing, industrial processing, personal protection equipment, or plant operating supplies
- Outstanding customer service skills and ability to work in a team setting with a diverse group of employees, managers, and outside parties
- Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office Products such as Outlook, Word, and Excel required
- Some travel is required with overnight stays
- Central or East coast time zone preferable
