About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver high-quality musculoskeletal assessments through telephone and video consultations
- Provide advanced clinical assessment, diagnosis and treatment recommendations for customers presenting with MSK conditions
- Identify appropriate onward referrals and ensure customers are directed to the right clinician or service first time
- Manage complex and higher-risk cases, including monitoring, follow-up and escalation of red flag presentations where required
- Support excellent customer outcomes while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction
- Adhere to professional standards, clinical governance requirements, policies and audit processes
- Contribute to service development initiatives, clinical quality improvements and business projects as required
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with information governance, confidentiality and regulatory requirements
- Work with Bupa Insurance members and corporate customers through virtual services
Requirements
What you’ll need- MSc qualification in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, or equivalent postgraduate qualification/modules in MSK or Advanced Practice
- HCPC registered Physiotherapist
- Minimum of five years' post-graduate MSK physiotherapy experience, including at least three years in a senior MSK role
- Demonstrable advanced clinical reasoning, diagnostic and assessment skills at MSc (Level 7) standard
- Ability to order and interpret diagnostic tests
- Strong knowledge of clinical governance, evidence-based practice and professional standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport in a virtual environment
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively within a wider multidisciplinary team
- IT proficiency and confidence using digital healthcare platforms
- Experience of supervising, mentoring, or coaching colleagues
- Ability to support learning, development, and performance through constructive feedback and reflective practice
- Full time 37.5 hours / minimum 4 working days per week
- Includes 1 late shift until 8pm, Tuesday-Friday, and a weekend rotation of 1 Saturday every 6 weeks
