About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the financial needs of the organization regarding reporting, accruals, and budgeting/forecasting
- Prepare monthly accruals and report on expense and capital spending
- Explain variances from plan and forecast
- Maintain and improve forecasting and variance-analysis models
- Support development of the annual financial plan
- Provide analytical and financial support to the Supply Chain Finance team
- Administer and review payment of invoices by third-party vendors
- Prepare or support variance reports and forecasts
- Support annual budgets for logistics accounts, including transportation and DC operational expenses
- Prepare or support analysis and reporting for performance measures and variances
- Update datasets and models during the weekly forecast cycle
- Provide analysis to constituents throughout the supply chain
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred; Bachelor’s acceptable in a similar field of study with multiple years of relevant work experience
- Understanding of general accounting and financial principles required
- Strong Microsoft Office (Excel/Access) experience required
- 1–5 years financial analysis experience preferred
- Experience with monthly accrual processes preferred
- Ability to deliver accurate results and meet tight deadlines
- Ability to analyze data and perform advanced financial analysis
- Advanced Excel user
- Knowledge of PowerPoint
- Planning software experience a plus
