About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Analyze clinical and operational workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, usability, documentation, and patient care
- Translate clinical and operational needs into system requirements, workflow recommendations, and technology solutions
- Partner with stakeholders to design and validate workflows balancing user needs, system capabilities, and regulatory requirements
- Support initiatives from requirements gathering and testing through deployment and post-go-live optimization
- Develop and execute workflow-based testing and participate in user acceptance testing
- Provide hands-on and at-the-elbow support during go-lives, upgrades, and other high-impact initiatives
- Serve as a liaison between clinicians, operational leaders, and technical teams
- Communicate technical concepts to clinical and operational audiences
- Participate in governance, prioritization, quality, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Provide occasional Epic classroom training coverage and workflow education
- Participate in an after-hours on-call rotation for critical Epic or clinical application issues
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2+ years of experience supporting Epic or other clinical applications, clinical informatics, healthcare technology, or related healthcare systems and workflows
- Experience collaborating with clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders
- Current Epic certification in Dorothy and/or Comfort required
- Candidates with current Epic Ambulatory certification may be considered in lieu of Dorothy/Comfort
- Must follow all CDPH vaccine requirements for healthcare personnel
