About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Analyze retailer POS, syndicated, shopper, and other data to identify trends, opportunities, and recommended actions
  • Develop business reviews, category reviews, topline reporting, and selling stories
  • Support account presentations involving new items, assortment, distribution, share of shelf, merchandising, and business performance
  • Use Kroger-specific systems and data to develop retailer-specific analyses and recommendations
  • Track sales, distribution, assortment, and merchandising performance; identify distribution voids and quantify opportunity gaps
  • Conduct promotional and pricing analyses
  • Analyze shopper and consumer information to understand purchase behavior and identify client opportunities
  • Partner with Kroger Business Managers on distribution priorities, sales opportunities, client needs, and retailer initiatives
  • Create, maintain, and improve recurring analytical tools, reporting, and resources
  • Assist with presentations and storylines for internal teams, clients, and retailer partners
  • Evaluate program effectiveness and share learnings and best practices
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Analytics, Economics, or a related field preferred
  • 1+ years of experience in CPG, retail, category management, sales analytics, business analytics, or a related analytical role preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Understanding of category management principles, including pricing, promotion, assortment, distribution, merchandising, and shelf placement
  • Experience working with syndicated data such as Circana/IRI, NielsenIQ, and/or SPINS
  • Strong communication skills and ability to articulate analytical findings and complex concepts concisely
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with sales and insights teams
  • Approximately 5-10% travel for client presentations and team meetings
