About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support on-site automotive client operations and serve as a trusted resource for North American import compliance
  • Manage daily trade compliance activities under U.S. and Canadian import regulations, client procedures, and company policies
  • Review commercial documentation, purchase orders, and customs entry data
  • Partner with designated customs brokers on import operations, customs clearance, and issue resolution
  • Validate Right to Make Entry documentation, HTS classifications, customs valuation, and Country of Origin determinations
  • Assess AD/CVD applicability, Free Trade Agreement eligibility, Partner Government Agency requirements, and other import requirements
  • Review compliance with U.S. trade remedies and special tariff programs, including Sections 301, 232, and 122
  • Coordinate post-entry corrections and resolve compliance issues with internal teams, brokers, and external partners
  • Support audits, compliance reviews, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in custom/import compliance or related field
  • Ability to provide evening and weekend coverage when required
  • Extensive knowledge of U.S. Customs entry and import operation processes and partner government agency regulations
  • Strong communication, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills
  • Proven critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Ability to work and communicate across the branch network
  • Licensed Custom Broker (LCB) or similar
  • Ability to work the Thursday through Monday schedule consistently
  • Availability for specified CST/PST working hours
