About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead all accounting and financial reporting activities for the Port Jérôme site in collaboration with the Shared Services Center
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes
- Prepare statutory accounts, tax returns, and VAT filings in compliance with French regulations
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements and maintain a robust SOX internal control environment
- Lead annual budgeting and monthly forecasting cycles
- Prepare transfer pricing documentation (Local File) with external consultants
- Manage relationships with the Statutory Auditor and French tax authorities
- Act as a business partner to the Port Jérôme Site Director and Leadership Team, providing financial insights for strategic decision-making
- Support EMEA and global functions with process digitalization and innovation initiatives
Requirements
What you’ll need- A master’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- A professional accounting qualification such as the DSCG would be an advantage
- At least 7 years of professional experience in finance (accounting, controlling, and/or financial audit), ideally gained in an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of French accounting standards and good knowledge of US GAAP
- Strong understanding of local requirements relating to accounting, taxation, and statutory reporting
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities and ability to build trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Fluency in French and English
- Ability to make sound decisions and take initiative in a fast-paced and demanding environment
