About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide regional support for the chemicals category across US and Canada manufacturing sites
  • Execute end-to-end procurement activities within onsite services
  • Manage Coupa purchasing processes, including requisition review, purchase order creation, purchasing forms and templates, contracting, and approvals
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, governance frameworks, and GBS standards
  • Monitor and resolve invoice, delivery, and supplier-performance issues
  • Contribute to procurement cost improvement and savings targets
  • Conduct RFQs/RFPs for mid-value purchases and negotiate pricing and terms
  • Support category managers with sourcing strategies and supplier consolidation
  • Help develop category roadmaps aligned with business objectives and long-term sourcing strategies
  • Create and maintain pricing catalogs, order forms, and RFx templates
  • Maintain supplier data in Coupa and ensure onboarding compliance
  • Monitor supplier performance and escalate issues
  • Partner with internal teams on requirements and procurement best practices
  • Serve as a point of contact for Coupa processes and procurement policies
  • Identify opportunities to streamline Coupa workflows and improve efficiency
  • Support automation and digital procurement transformation initiatives
  • Mentor Buyers and support onboarding of new team members
  • Promote continuous improvement and collaboration

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field
  • 3+ years’ experience in procurement or buying roles
  • Experience in manufacturing, specialty chemicals, carbon materials, or industrial products highly preferred
  • Chemical market experience highly preferred
  • Experience managing multimillion-dollar spend categories across multiple facilities
  • Experience negotiating chemical supply agreements and commercial terms
  • Hands-on experience with Coupa or similar e-procurement platforms
  • In-depth knowledge of tactical sourcing and category execution
  • Proficiency in site-level procurement leadership and alignment with category strategy
  • Understanding of category traits, including market conditions, suppliers, news and trends, performance metrics, and escalation protocols
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Knowledge of procurement governance and compliance requirements
  • Detail-oriented and process-driven
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with digital procurement tools and analytics
  • Knowledge of global procurement policies and audit requirements
  • Skills in mentoring and supporting team development
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Must pass a background check and drug test after a conditional offer
